....reminded me of pictures and descriptions of a miniture version of Everest Base Camp. Lots going on, a true international climbing conclave and rats' nest. Loved the atmosphere just like you did. ...Also a great day hike destination to whet the appetite of would-be mountaineers....One widowsill I remember in the main bunkhouse was lined end to end with an assortment of troll dolls, never could figure that one out...

I don't even know who the woman in the far right of the picture is and didn't even realize she was in the shot at first, but I thought she captured the spirit of Camp Muir pretty well. Very cool place. Could definitely see myself climbing Rainier again one day ...
