This dirt area is known as the "Frontside" parking. Some climbers/boulderers tend to stay here for weeks at a time. They use the surounding area, and even the base of some of the boulder, for going to the bathroom.
They put their crash pads, stoves, pots and pans, etc.etc.etc... far from their tents, so it's very difficult to maneuver the car in and out. There are much better sights, with running water, withing a few minutes of here. All together, not a good way to camp for long stays. I have put my sleeing bag down next to the car, in the middle of winter here, and never stayed more than one night. I saw these same people two weeks in a row. | | Posted Sep 4, 2009 7:45 pm |
