| My son in law and I had camped the night before at Calf Creek campground off of highway 12 and then headed for Escalante where a ranger told us about her successful visit to Canaan Peak a couple weeks earlier. Using her instructions and Mike Kelsey's book, we found our way to the trailhead and had a nice pleasant hike to the summit. That evening we camped at Kodachrome Basin State Park. | |
