Upon descending the loose crap east chute of Irvine, tagging Candlelight just made sense. It stopped snowing before we summitted though. Fun scree glissade down to Grass Lake.

Amazing views of Whitney
We set out to climb Mt Irvine early in the morning. We knew there would be snow but didn't anticipate as much as we ran into. As we got to Grass Lake we decided bagging Candlelight Peak was a better idea timewise.
An excellent trip with a beautiful view of the area _especially_ Mt Whitney.

Accidental summit
We were intending to summit Lone Pine but got way off route out of Meysan Lakes so we followed some use trails up to the chute and climbed Candlelight Peak instead!
