Canyon of Krupa river
Canyon of Krupa river above Kudin Most bridge location. Further back is amphitheater of Krnjeza and its canyon (Krupa comes from right). Krnjeza is biggest tributary to Krupa. In the upper left corner, disappearing in Bura wind cap, is Crnopac (1404m), highest peak of SE Velebit.

These rivers are really special!! Hopefuly they remain as they are. More and more areas are being made accessible to tourism, hydropower, agriculture... till everything is gone.

Yes Klaus, it scares me very much. This amazing area has been totally forgotten till recently. It is one of least populated in Croatia, civilization doesn’t exist here. It is true wilderness in every sense. Now it's becoming more and more popular. Lately path through Krupa canyon has been marked. I hope that is first and last thing humans will bring here. I think power plant dam is out of question but roads, hotels and such beauties of tourism exploitation remain the threat.
