Canyon Tree Frog
This canyon tree frog (Hyla arenicolor) towers over my partner, Rick Kent, in Zion National Park's Pine Creek Slot. The full-size image is 2652x2448, so click if you want to see more detail on this lovely canyon resident. The camera was within two inches of the subject in this photo. 03 June 2009.

"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."   --Calvin Coolidge
