Capulin Volcano from Johnson Mesa

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Capulin Volcano from Johnson Mesa

The center peak is Capulin Volcano (8182 ft) as seen from nearby Johnson Mesa. Sierra Grande (8720 ft) and Robinson Peak (8030 ft) flank it. Twin Buttes Mountain (7170 ft) is the two closer and smaller grass-covered objects. Twin Buttes South is barely visible behind the trees on the right. Imaged in June 2011 (a +1 GND filter was used to control contrast).
