Must be a real exercise in terror. Any plans on heading up Mount Alberta or North Twin some day?

So true. I am used to it, but many partners are not. Just came down from the NE Buttress of Mount Sarail (III, 5.10), even though I was doing the leading, will take that particular partner a while to get all giddy again about 5.10 rockies I suppose. The upside, saw a grizzly up close, 4 moose, one of which was swimming in Ralston Lake, an adult bald eagle landing on a tree over Ralston Lake, fish jumping out of Ralston Lake, a pair of fawns with their spots as prominent as I have ever seen, a pika (usually hard to spot unless you take the time, on and on, wildflowers like crazy on the col, dying glacier on the backside of the col....got to love that aspect of the rockies...planning on the Japanese route up Alberta this year....waiting for conditions to get better, going for the South Howser Becky-Chanaird route this weekend...cheers James
