Lobelia cardinalis (Cardinal Flower aka Scarlet Lobelia) - a pretty August bloomer of Red Rocks, Nevada. It favors moist and shady slopes and sunny streambanks. Photo taken in Fern Canyon. Summer 2008.

of a cardinal. Awesome specimen of a beautiful
