| My first ascent of Ben Nevis. Started at Fort William before 8am and areached the summit of Ben Nevis at 15:15. The arete was totaly under cloud. Deep snow going up the back of Ben Nevis, but none on the arete. | |

| A nice introduction to scrambling in Scotland. Nothing too difficult, but a nice route nonetheless. Weather held out great except for the super thick cloud that limited the views and made some compass work necessary to get onto the ridge at first. Fun outing overall. | |

| Lisa and I did this in around June 1997. We took a long approach up Glen Nevis, and then followed the Allt Ciore Giubhsachan to it's headwaters. A scramble up one of the ridges took us onto the arete and up to BN summit. From CMD we could see as far as the western isles. N | |
