After work  Sucess!

Had work in Laconia that day so this was my post work jaunt. One hundred minutes to the summit via the Three Ponds Trail. The last mile is quite wet and I wouldn't recommend doing this hike after a hard rain. The views are getting more limited as the trees get taller on the summit.

Three Ponds to Carr Mountain Trail  Sucess!

Good but not great views, super steep, but excellent if you are looking for wildness and solitude.

don't mess w/ heaven  Sucess!

Nice hike with my 11 year old from the West to summit. Not one human print in trail, not very well kept, just what a father and son needed. Struck a pose of Jesus at the top from the stairway to heaven, lightning struck 10 seconds later and chased us off the mountain. Perfect hike for the little people, just a slow uphill hike, with very little flat and no scrambles.

Route Climbed: west side Date Climbed: Summer, 2001  Sucess!

did a rather interesting bushwack following a stream up the west side with my cousin Shane and uncle Blaine. great views from the top. we took the remains of an old trail down that was much easier than the route we took up. This was one of the most fun hikes i have done on the east coast.

This was actually one of my First Hiking trips in NH.

It will always have a special memory, excellent Views to the North.
