Cascade Mtn massif as it...
Cascade Mtn massif as it towers above the Orem / Provo area. Provo canyon is to the far left (Mt. Timpanogos, out of the picture would be to the left) and Rock Canyon is at the far right. Unbelievable December day.

I esp. like the soft transition between the grassy lowlads and the snow dusted peak.

I would have liked to taken one from the same spot two or three days later but clouds totally obscured the peaks. A large dump of snow occurred on Christmas day and the day after. I don't know if you saw this one but it was taken from the same spot showing the next area over from Cascade. The highest peak showing, is Provo Peak. I would like to climb both Cascade and Provo on the same day next summer. The views ought to be nice. Mt. Nebo is just to the south (not in this pic) and Mt. Timpanogas is to the north. This whole area just drives me nuts every time I'm down there. Thanks your your comment on the photo.
