tmchlstMt. St. Helens  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Mar 1, 2015

First major summit trip. Made it car-to-car in about 10 hours, and really enjoyed our time at the summit, spending a great deal of time enjoying the views. This climb really initiated my obsession with climbing/hiking.

Nick TurturaA few down  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Feb 17, 2015

Nick Turtura

This is a fun list to work on. Though being that the mountains stretch across a great distance be ready to do some driving as well.

Currently from this list I have summited:
North Sis
Middle Sis
South Sis

Broken Top
Paulina Peak
Diamond Peak
Maiden Peak

Mount Bachelor
Grizzly Peak
Black Butte OR

I have a few down and would like to hit them all.

Shasta and Adams were summited in fine weather. I was blown off Rainier at 13,600 ft. just above High Break on the DC route. Back to Rainier next June. My goal is to experience all of the Cascade volcanoes over the next years. I look forward to updating this post soon and eventually clicking on the successful button down the road.

Didn't go for a summit this time as the clouds rolled in quickly, but made it to the ridge. There is WAY more snow right now than there was this time last year. Deep snow extended all the way down the valley to the trail head, making the climb way harder than it was with last year's snow.

The history of these mountains. Their nature. Pretty darn captivating. I've so far trampled on Lassen, Shasta, and Rainier and aim to get to know these places much better along with the others in the range. What a unique part of the world!

Climbed a bunch of the Cascades and still plan to climb a bunch more, so far: Mt. St. Helen's, Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier. Awesome country some volcano climbing, will be back many times!

shanahan96the two biggies

climbed rainier in a 4-day snowstorm and hood during two bluebird days in may 2008. like the weather, the climbs were quite different as rainier's cleaver route was solely a slog while hood brought a fantastic, mixed route through the ice cliffs west of the pearly gates.
