After 3 days in the cold and snowy Dobrar Mountains and 3 days in the hot and steamy Kojoor Canyon, we finally reached the Caspian Sea

truly more salty than the sea/ocean water?

I don't think I have heard anything about the water being saltier than ocean water although it is the largest lake in the world and it is possible that the water might be slightly more salty. The plains on the eastern coast of the Caspian are big deserts but there is a lot of fresh water going into the Caspian from its southern, western and northwestern side of it.

The Caspian is known to be 20 m (60 ft) below the sea level. Water level has actually risen over the last few decades.

Salam,

Yes my guide Salim and I were very tired, hot and dirty. We took our clothes off and went in the water. Only 2 days before this, I had also walked under this waterfall:
