Re: puzzling peak

I was wondering about doing it with snow ... In May this year it was as dry as ...

route: Puertolas  Sucess!

We thought end of May was about our last chance to this the peak before the heat of the summer. This is not a peak to do in midsummer or any hot day!

This was a great day out and Castillo Mayor even became a little Obsession for me. I searched out all my old fotos and found the peak featuring amoung the horizon on many of my summit fotos - including from the top of Monte Perdido.

It has such a super and distinctive shape (I've been reading about perched synclines in the info written and posted here by visentin - very interesting)

Strangely, the peak has various heights, depending on which map
you are reading! (Between 2,009 and 2,020m..)
