3 for 4  Sucess!

Four day trip up the West fork, over Omega Pass with a base camp at Varve lake on day 2. Did Castle, 12090, then Darlene. At that point, though the original plan was to do 12540 on the way back, but instead the direct route via a glissade down the south face of Darlene and a quicker end to the day was in the cards. I came back for 12540 three weeks later.

Easy access great views  Sucess!

From Varve Lake and Navajo Tarn Lake there is easy access to Castle Rock Mtn and to "West" Castle Peak. From the summit of the "west" peak you have a great view looking down onto the Castle Rock Glacier. Most recent trip to the area was last year, 2019, first trip was in 1986.
