Castor and Pollux

From Klein Matterhorn (Zermatt) the twins Castor (4228 m) and Pollux (4092 m) can be reached in a view hours and together with a ski descent from Schwarztor to Zermatt these are magnificant day trips.

Unfortunatelly this area has become since 1-2 years also very popular for heliskiing. But a least on the summit of the twins you will be alone ;-)

JanGSki run from Castor

Voted 10/10

Congratulations for fantastic photos! Did you ski down the Zwillingsgletscher from Castor? I did it with my son 7 years ago on one of the rare occasions when it was " safe " to ski (most crevasses well covered by snow!!!).

Cheers

Unfortunately the Zwillingsgletscher wasn't in good condition for skiing down the last few years - at least during our holidays in Zermatt. Skiing down the Zwillingsgletscher remains still one of my Zermatt dreams.
