| Trail register but no markers? Great hike on exposed ledges, views from false summit and summit were splendid. | ||

| Exact date is a guess. My brother and I went there at the start of a 5-day backpack. We were almost annihilated by a logging truck driven on the wrong side of the road. (Old Adirondack saying: logging trucks always have the right of way.) I was reminded of this peak by puma concolor's name change. | ||

| Agreed with difficulty finding the trailhead and with the abundant rock faces. I wandered off the traditional route and found some good 3rd and 4th class slabs to the summit. | ||

| It took us a little while to find the trailhead because it was not well-marked on the road. This was one of the most fun hikes I've had in the Daks. The last third of the trail runs through a maze of boulders and slabs. One could spend all day bouldering & practicing 4th class moves. The chimney was pretty cool too. A classic day out despite the fact that it was so cloudy we coudn't even see Whiteface. | ||

| At the pastor’s retreat I agreed to take a group climbing. I had wanted to check out Catamount even though it is not a 46er peak. It is one of the most delightful hikes in the Adirondacks from start to finish. All of us had a good time and we were blessed that the rain held off until we got down a very steep section and down to our car. | ||
