| Climbed this one after summiting nearby DO Lee and WCP-9. We went up the south ridge after replenishing our water at Slide Lake. Pretty steep and quite a bit of loose rock, but made it to the top thanks to the route-finding of my more experienced companions. | ||

| Third 11'er today. From WCP-9, the traverse looked dicey, with a cliff overlain by loose rocks, so descended WCP-9's east ridge to Slide Lake. (Met up with two guys camped at Sheep Lake, from NJ and NY, out for 3 weeks to Idaho). No water filter required to enjoy the fresh water rushing from beneath the snowpack at Slide's inlet. They say Eskimos avoid hardening of the arteries by drinking mineral rich water like this. Ascended to the saddle in a tricky zig-zag, then up the ridge to summit. Funnest climb of the year so far! PS. SuperDave is an animal from his traverse of this area - I feel like a wimp after reading his TR.. | ||

| Climbed the gully between Caulkens and WCP-9, then followed the south ridge to the summit. Saw a pair of Martens at around 10400' in the gully. After Caulkens, I slid down the steep scree slopes on the south face to reach Slide Lake, then climbed the east ridge of WCP-9. Here’s a write up and some photos. | ||
