Wonderful Spring hike  Sucess!

Very enjoyable hike from the blue gate with my family. Pretty popular with the locals also. Found the mileage to be 3+ miles one-way not the 1.5 as advertised.

Cedar Mountain  Sucess!

Hiked up the road from the locked blue gate. Pretty uneventful hike. Socked in day so no views from the top. Did Heart Mountain earlier in the day.

Take the trail  Sucess!

I've been to the top 5 or 6 times (hiking from the bottom) and I do shorter training hikes on the dirt road as often as once a week. The trails make for a much nicer hike, though the road is convenient.

Cold and windy  Sucess!

Quite cold , windy and snowing. Passed by the intimidating radio tower signs and made it to the top. Nice view of Resevoir and North Fork

Subsequent Ascents  Sucess!

Hiked this peak from the property gate on Feb. 1, 2009, Feb. 21, 2009, Mar. 20, 2009, and Oct. 3, 2009.

My first time completing this mountain from its base was Oct. 11, 2009 in a snowstorm and 20-degree weather.

Very windy hike  Sucess!

This was my first time reaching the top - I hiked the road to the top on a day when there were high wind warnings in the area. Gusts were about 60 mph on top at times, but the views were amazing!
