After backpacking in this area several years ago, I decided to come back for a quick little hike to Cedar Peak. Trying to follow parts of the old trail up the south side of the peak was interesting. Lots of other game trails and downed trees make it tough to follow. Great views on the summit of the surrounding mountains were made even better by the low, dark clouds on this surprisingly windy and chilly day. It was fun.
