Cerro Rooy: Amontanas Aaroofacannis

Cerro, a three month old crazy 8 pound puppy, is picturred here in my backpack at Chicken Out Ridge after succumbing to altitude sickness near the 2500m mark. Mt Borah's West Buttress sports 2300m of elevation gain and is a great training hill to test your fitness level on. Best big dog route in Idaho!

Dog Route

My friend Carl took his Jack Russell up Borah. He rode in his pack over CO ridge but made the summit on his own. Great shot!

Re: Dog Route

Those jack russles can go anywhere. Rhey just need alot of exercise. A buddy took his Doberman on the same trip and helped him onto COR but the dog went over it on his own. I was happy I was packing my dog safely at that point.
