Here is the parking area for Charles Mound on 30 August 2000. At that time, access was essentially unrestricted, but the highest natural elevation in Illinois is now open on only a few weekends each summer.

Old beta

Note that this is the old parking area. The owners no longer allow people to drive up to the farm house. You must park by the metal gate by Charles Mound Road.
