Charlie's Look-back

Charlie's Look-back is a small vista along the Loyalsock Trail in north central Pennsylvania that looks over the Loyalsock Creek valley. My friend and I spent 4 days hiking this 60 mile trail and this view was at the half mile mark. We had climbed up out of the valley and were already exhausted and feeling the weight of our heavy packs. It seemed a miserable trip at times, but reflections of that trip remind me why life is both painful and beautiful.
