| I'd been wanting to spend a weekend in Ionian Basin for a couple years, and finally got my chance. Charybdis is an incredible looking peak, was pleased to have spectacular views of it from camps at Lake 11828 and 11592. Headed up Charybdis on day 2, along with McDuffie and Black Giant. | ||

| This was a fun climb in a wild area! Charybdis is an imposing, brooding mountain with lots of character. I was uncertain if the good weather would hold, but fortunately, the rains didn’t come until later in the day and I was able to scramble up. | |
