Chickenheads!
Classic example of a granite chickenhead. These are fairly common little rock outcrops that can be used for hand holds. This one has wings and 3 heads!

it could most certainly pass for poultry!

I always wondered what climbers were holding
on to while they appeared to be defying gravity. Now I know.

Well, chickenheads are common on some rock but not everywhere. If you want the scoop on gravity defiance I would consult Marcsoltan.
