Chilling in the creek

Chilling in the creek

Pacific Tree Frog enjoying its semi-aquatic lifestyle in Red Rock Conservation Area, Nevada. Spring 2007. This is the most common frog in Red Rocks. The majority of them are either light or dark grey, but I have seen also a few greenish ones. Beginning in the early 1980s, biologists began to realize that amphibians such as frogs are extremely sensitive to pollution. Thus, healthy frogs are a sign of clean environment.

Such a sweet and a bit sleepy-looking little frog!
