Chimney Spire, non-technical
The route on the east side of the spire is class 4 at best. Here I am in the early 70's, a teenager climbing in stiff 5 lb hiking boots. A friend, with fear of heights, accompanied me up the same route. Note there are trees as high as the spire. Note the bizarre mop of hair.

(If you judge this telephoto pic, realize that it was scanned from a print taken long ago. The purpose of the image is to show that the eastern route is not technical. However, the soft metamorphic rock requires some care, especially on descent.)
