Chimney Tops

In 2002 the Park Service wanted hikers to take the spur trail instead of going up the more dangerous face of the Chimneys, thus the "Go No Farther" sign. In 2008 the spur trail was closed off, and reachng the summit now requires the climb up the face. Great Smoky Mountains National Park July, 2002.
