The weather was great, but we were getting dripped on throughout the trip from melting snow on the branches in the trees above us. My first hike with Elvis. No, not *that* Elvis.

Went up with a friend and 5 month son...a bit of branch bushwhack at the top with several feet of snow on the highpoint.

I climbed Blanchard from the Upper TH doing a loop with the trail along the east side of the mtn and then the PNT on the descent. Very pleasant hike. A BM can be found at the true summit. Then we drove up the shorter 1900+ peak to make it a chuckanut double.

Lots of great stuff to explore here. I started to write up a page and realized you already had it up. Beautiful area even if it is a low elevation.

I grew up in Bellingham and this area is not the least of the reasons that Bellingham is great. Super accessible and easy for beginners.

Started snowing when I got to Oyster Dome and rained the whole way down. But you can't really complain in December. There are a lot of trees across the path now from all the wind storms we've been having.
