It's morning and the summits of Averau-Nuvolau group are still in clouds. We are walking slowly around the eastern face of Ra Gusela, towards the entry to Nuvolau ferrata. Suddenly through the clouds Cinque Torri group appears. What a scene! Especially because the walls behind Cinque Torri, across Falzarego road, are slill in clouds. July 8th, 2007.

Voted 10/10 | The tower behind in the mist is very exciting. It's the half-seen towers and walls that bring the greatest feeling of foreboding and adventure! | | Posted Sep 2, 2007 4:37 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks, Michael! I don't know exactly which mountain the tower behind belongs to. It must be part of Tofana di Rozes, perhaps Castelletto. | | Posted Sep 2, 2007 4:50 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks, Mark! I guess you, on your side of the Big Pond, have also many such towers. Here they are more rare. | | Posted Sep 2, 2007 6:40 am |
