Cinque Torri - Torre Grande

Cinque Torri - Torre Grande

It's morning and the summits of Averau-Nuvolau group are still in clouds. We are walking slowly around the eastern face of Ra Gusela, towards the entry to Nuvolau ferrata. Suddenly through the Cinque Torri group appears. What a scene! Especially because the walls behind Cinque Torri, across Falzarego road, are still in clouds. July 8th, 2007.

You're welcome, Renato! If it doesn't fit on your route description page, just detach it :)

classic!

Now this is one classic looking photo! It invokes the feeling of natural beauty and light triumphing over a dark and forboding night...

Re: classic!

Thanks, Torsten for your nice words. Then it seems the photo is not so classic ;)

Stellar photo

The tower behind in the mist is very exciting. It's the half-seen towers and walls that bring the greatest feeling of foreboding and adventure!

Re: Stellar photo

Thanks, Michael! I don't know exactly which mountain the tower behind belongs to. It must be part of Tofana di Rozes, perhaps Castelletto.

Re: Very Dramatic!

Thanks, Mark! I guess you, on your side of the Big Pond, have also many such towers. Here they are more rare.
