Clear Lake and Mt. Konocti

This is the small portion of Clear Lake in north-central CA. Clear Lake is the largest freshwater lake entirely within the State of CA and third overall after Tahoe and Goose, which are shared by other states. Mt. Konocti seen here is an inactive volcano. It would be a great hike, but is currently privately owned. For a fee you can pay someone to escort you up the mountain. Efforts are underway to raise funds to purchase the mountain for public use.
