Climbing Cross Mountain

Climbing Cross Mountain
Kessler climbing Cross Mountain on a mostly rainy day on May 23 2009. ee the Trip Log for details.

Juniper Mountain and the Yampa River (at flood stage) is in the background.

I took this photo during a break in the rain and just before we reached the south ridge. The south ridge is gentle, but climbing the east face to get here was very steep with some scrambling.
