Hasn't voted | Thanks a lot Josh! The Schmittenhöhe is well known for it's entirely open views to the entire chain of the Hohe Tauern and the fairly close Glockner group in particular!

So nice to hear this from you...the Glockner group is indeed a fantastic part of the Austrian mountains - not only because it has Austria's highest! - and I hope that this year, either in August or in September, I can finally find the time to do some real hiking there as well as in the neighboring Venediger group, and post some really great close-up shots!

Hasn't voted | You're right - the lower dam is that of the Wasserfallboden lake and the upper dam belongs to Mooserboden lake!
