| thedus | Scree slog from Seventh Lake to East Ridge ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 25, 2006 | |
| Hiked this from Seventh Lake via the East Ridge. The scree slope leading to the ridge is a fine slogfest of the first order. The ridge itself was nice, though, and the views from the top made it all well worth it. | ||

| soslaw | West Face ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 9, 2006 | |
| West face via scree sufferfest chute furthest to the climber's left. The summit ridge and summit pinnacle were enjoyable class 3 on good rock. | ||

| Desert Solitaire | Route Climbed: North Slope From Pass Above Green Lake Date Climbed: August 9, 2005 ![]() | |
| Rest day from 2005 Sierra Challenge - the route from the col is excellent. Bagged Vagabond pk en route and went through some fun class 2/low 3 on the final NW ridge to the summit. There is a cool "secret" pipeline route from the South Lake TH that is a lot less circuitous and makes for an interesting hike. Great company on a great climb! | ||

| Matt Worster | Route Climbed: north slope from pass above Green Lakes Date Climbed: 9 August 2005 ![]() | |
| 1/2 day-hike, superb views marred by haze. We descended the north slope directly to Green Lakes, which I didn't care for due to loose talus. I took a spill and then stuck to the boulders where ever possible. The ridge from the pass is solid, firm footing. | ||

| Great view of the Palisades. Rivals that from Agassiz. While panoramic, it's not as personal. Easy class 3 (couple of moves) to summit. | ||

| cloudrippr | Route Climbed: E. Ridge via Baker Lakes Date Climbed: May, 1994 ![]() | |
| Can't remember the exact date but this is where I got my E-Mail name. Only back then, you could only use 8 letters. Thus the funny spelling. I've also done it twice from Green Lake. | ||

| Matthew Holliman | Route Climbed: North Slope Date Climbed: June 13, 2004 ![]() | |
| Concerning Bob's summit log entry below, eight hours sounds more like a third of a day to me. :-) The climb took longer than I expected, but the summit views were outstanding. | ||

| This was Matthew's idea of a half day scramble. Ha! Took 8hrs, but then again, maybe that is what he considers a half day. Gorgeous weather, fun adventure on the descent. Trip Report | ||

| crag | Route Climbed: W slope from Chocolate Lake Date Climbed: September 21, 2003 ![]() | |
| There's a prominent gully above the bench between upper Chocolate and Ruwau. This is class 2-3 talus, pretty solid away from the center of the gully. Fun peak, outstanding views from the summit. | ||

| Wanted to bag this one last year but didn't get around to it. Dayhiked up from around Parchers Resort. There's a fairly good view of the Northern Palisades and the Palisade Glacier. Weather was quite nice during the day. Roundtrip time from Parchers Resort was about 8 hours. | ||

| RickF | Route Climbed: The north slope from green lake via Vagabond Peak Date Climbed: October 18, 2001 ![]() | |
| This was my second attempt after an unsuccsessful effort the previous October. On my first attempt I was with 2 friends, we set out before sun up and we tried to scramble directly up the north face of Vagabond Peak from Green Lake. there was 6 in. of new snow and at about 1:00 p.m. we decided to retreat. We desended via the platuea and ridge which leads to the trail back to green lake. I went solo on this second trip and decided to go the somewhat longer but easier traveled route we had descended the previous year. I made good time, I stopped and ate lunch lunch on Vagabond Peak at noon and summited Cloudripper by 1:15. It was a clear day and the view from the top was spectacular! I made it back to my truck at the South Lake trailhead by 5:00 p.m. | ||
