clouds lifting, glaciers melting

An intermittently stormy day made for sparse summit views from the top of Allen Mountain. A slight break in the clouds afforded this interesting view of Grinnell Glacier Basin. The broad hump that rises more or less directly in the center of the photo is Angel Wing. Grinnell Glacier is partially obstructed behind. The Salamander Glacier clings high above on the eastern flanks of the Garden Wall. Small, ovular Gem Glacier sits even higher and to the left, just beneath the bulky summit of Mount Gould.
