| Set out for this hike at about 11 AM. Luckily, weather was good, but our routefinding was not! The water levels were very high so it was hard maneuvering many parts of the gulch. Once out of the narrower sections, we went up to the ridge too early and found cliffier sections, not a ridge scramble.. We turned around and had a long hike since we backtracked in the wrong way hoping to find a way into Hogum Gulch. Hiked down as it started getting dark.
The chokestone near the second waterfall has a rope on it that my friend and I left. Don't know exactly how good it will be in the future, but it supported my friend of about 200 pounds no problem, and me 150 ish. The move isn't that terrifying so one could only use the rope as back up and be fine.
