Went up the Class 4 route that felt slightly harder and descended another Class 5 that would have been harder to upclimb - never very exposed though. Part of Cathedral Traverse.

From Unicorn, up some crack that felt like 4th or easy 5th, then through a gap to the other side to traverse to the summit. Trip report

Nice afternoon scramble from the Cathedral Lakes trailhead.

Probably did something different than what was in the route page, but it was fun nonetheless.

One very fun pitch up the east face to a beautiful view. I'm guessing it was about 5.6 or so.

Date Climbed: Jul 5, 2008

Drewid

Approached from the north ridge and came under the large east face and around the southern edge of the Cockscomb, went up the large chute at the southern edge of the west face and scrambled through the towering ramparts toward the summit. A few technical moves to gain the summit. Maybe a little more difficult than Unicorn Peak but just as fun. A solid rush.

Fun little section of 4th class up the West Face, worth the short walk to get there.

Followed the rige around from Unicorn and climbed a line on the backside. Kind of neat coming over the top and rapping/climbing down the regular route

Airy climb! Final peak of the day for Glenn and I, after tagging Tresidder, Columbia Finger, Echo Peaks #3, and Echo Ridge. Outstanding day--along with the Thunderbolt-North Pal traverse, perhaps the best all year.
