Cold Desert Sunrise

Cold Desert Sunrise
This was the sight that we awoke too after braving the snow, howling wind, bitter cold and torrential rains for 12 hours that night. It eventually cleared up leaving us with amazing views all around the Mojave. 12-13-09

Thanks for the comment! It definitely wasn't beautiful during the night and even that morning it was cold, but it was a most welcomed sunrise

We were blessed with nice weather last month during my visit, but had dust storms and blizzards during other parts of my most recent trip through the American west. The Mojave National Preserve is a treasure. Thanks for sharing your image of some of it's majesty. --mark d.

Thanks Marc, it is a wild place! So many people just drive by it and do not take the time to enjoy! I am glad you were able to experience it!
