Picos de Europa - N. Spain. From the village of Fuente Dé you can take the cable car up and in less than 4 minutes you are in this amazing rocky environment. Though there is a driveable (4x4) track, and possibly at high season or from mid morning onwards at the weekends a multitude of casual walkers, this can't detract from the impressive terrain.
