There are hundreds of miles of trails in the Monument and great sandstone rock climbing. I have done Remnants Tower, Forbidden Hump and Liberty Cap. I will (hopefully soon) climb Independence Monument, The Sentinel and Hundred Hands of Heaven. My favorite hikes within the Monument are not easily accessed and usually are not on the visitor center's maps, prefering to take the game trails. Suggestion: If you like CNM go just East past the boundary into the Little Park Road area and travel the various canyons there. Alot let tourists and alot more jeep trails!

absolutely love this place!....and it's really great that something so special is close to the front range(~3.5-4 hrs). independence monument will always be a special climb for me, and kissing couple along with other towers certainly have my attention.

can't wait for what's next!
