A shot like that is one that you either slam on the brakes for....or you're rewarded with because you sat out there for 2 hours in the cold preparing for the 30 seconds of after sundown color you get....Well done!
I think I should confess that I didn't have to make any sacrifices to get this shot. All I had to do was to grab the camera and run down to the beach before the light show was over. But, I have made sacrifices in the past to get a good shot that got very little reception. Sometimes you get lucky, and this was my moment.
