Common Spotted Orchid
The Common Spotted Orchid (Dactylorhiza fuchsii; Polish: Stoplamek Fuchsa) is rare in the forests of the Low Beskid and the Bieszczady Mountains. As an endangered species it is currently under protection in Poland. It blooms from April to June. Seeds are carried by the wind. This orchid can grow up to 70 cm which makes it taller than the Heath Spotted-orchid (Dactylorhiza maculata) with which it is often confused.
