| Hiked up from Big Tujunga Canyon Rd just east of Vogel Flats. Bagged Fox Mountain before traversing the up and down ridge, with great views all around, on the way to Condor Peak. Clear weather early which became hazy as the day went on. Unfortunately, no summit register on either peak. | |

| Hiked up with my dad via the 4.50 mile marker, tagged Fox then made it up to Condor. This was a great hike. | |

| Hiked on the Condor Peak Trail from Vogel Flats to Fox #2 and further to Condor Peak on a very warm day in October. Very nice views down from the ridge between Fox and Condor. | |

| Paid for the late start on a very hot day. Tagged Fox # 2 first that was fine. With little sun protection from summit to summit and near 90 degrees on condor it made for a miserable final push. Took a nap under a shrub on the summit and had to carefully ration the water on the return. | |

| Forecast was for rain but the skies didn't buy it. Tom Becht (bechtt) and I went anyway and it turned out to be a beautiful day. Started out on Condor Peak Trail and first went to Fox #2. We then started across the connecting ridge to Condor. We thought Condor was a bump or two further across but after 30 minutes we ran across an ex-Marine sitting on one of the bumps and he told us we were there. I confirmed it by taking a compass bearing back to Fox #2. Couldn't believe we had gotten there so quick. From there, on to Iron #2 and return via Trail Canyon Trail. | |

| With Augie Medina (Mountain Impulse). Second of three peaks on what was supposed to be a rainy day but turned out to be perfect weather. We almost kept going thinking that the interesting bump on the west end was the high point. 30 minutes from Fox #2. On to Iron #2, returning via Trail Creek trail. | |

| Like Bob said. Not the most exciting outing, and mostly just a way to get a little exercise. I enjoyed the jog back down Trail Canyon--the sun was out, a few flowers starting to appear, and it verges on being scenic in places. The most memorable moment of the day came when I tried to hitch a ride back to our car. After walking the first couple of miles along the road, someone finally pulled over... to ask if I needed a ride, and then to follow up by asking if I had anything to smoke. As I had to respond no to the latter query, the offer of a lift was rescinded and he drove off. Guess I should include ganja in the list of Ten Essentials when hiking around LA. | |
