 Contemplating the "delicate...
Contemplating the "delicate move" onto Clarence King's summit block (photo by Glenn Gookin, Sep 25, 2005). The move involves placing one's left foot on a small foothold (out of sight below my left hand), and standing up on that while simultaneously pulling up with a good hold with the right hand (where my right hand is resting). It's technically easy, but the exposure is unnerving--scary, really.

Reversing the move is quite a bit easier than climbing up; one can place one's left foot back on that foothold, and lower oneself down to the lower block using the excellent right handhold. Braver climbers may opt to jump off. :-)
