Cooke Book  Sucess!

With Jessie from San Diego. I led all the 5.9-10a pitches and all three were stellar and interesting leads at the grade. We did it in 4 pitches total. I was able to reach the top with a 70m on p 4. Crescent is still my favorite on Daff, but Cooke belongs in the top 10 for its grade in Tuolumne. A sustained route for the grade in comparison to others nearby. A must do. I placed small gear, prob just single to #3. Doubles from #.3-#.5 and wires or offset cams for many flares. Take a dozen slings, will have bad rope drag if you don't. And yes it is always cold on this north face. If you skip the first 5.9 pitch, you have missed the best climbing on the route.
