Looking back during our retreat. The terrain didn't look too difficult. But our footsteps show where you would suddenly break though the crust and sink to your chest in bottomless depth hoar. The sunny side was so rotten from the rain that it was unclimbable. I fell 30 feet into a crevasse just before the sun-lit cornice. Denali National Park, Alaska, USA. Comments |  Image Data
