Cottonwood "Springs"

View ~W. This is one of the eponymous "springs" of the route. I've never seen running water here, but often one can dig down a few inches (as to the upper right of the shadow of my head) and hit water. Animals dig here, as do horsemen. This is one of few dryfalls to note if you plan on making the trip out at night.
