My first time and I'm not really impressed, but it's a good hill for walking in the woods near town. Anti Aircraft, South Radio, Radio, Longview, Cougar, Clay Pit.

The smallest of the tiny "Alps"
Hiked most of the trails in one day with Madelyn, including Long View, Anti-Aircraft, and Wilderness "peaks"! The distinction for peaks in these state parks is kind of goofy, so I'll consider it as one. Epic bench at the top!

Very close to the city, so that makes it worth it. Went up to wilderness peak - no view, but also no people on this light rainy day.

I've been trail running on Cougar since I moved back after graduate school. I've ran over 95% of the trails. The King County parks department does a remarkable job of maintaining the trails and bridges on a limited budget.

Wilderness Peak
I climbed this with my 22 month old daughter. I had climbed this many years ago but it was a first ascent for her.

Escape the city
One of my favorite areas to trail race and run. A great escape from life in the city. Wonderful network of trails and even a place to spot a bear every now and then.

Wilderness Peak
Went up with my friend Magellan and his son. Nice view of trees on top. I will probably do a couple runs in the park this winter. P.S. best views are De Leo Wall!!!!

Wilderness Peak
Moved to Cougar Mtn 18 months ago, and now hike it at least weekly. Date is first time I got to the true summit. Lots of great trails here. I'm a Parks Ambassador for King County Parks.

Great jogging
I jogged through the woods here many times from 2003 to 2005. Really nice park. I envy the folks who live on it's slopes!

CougarHiked the trails of Cougar Mtn a lot after moving to WA as this is the closest nice area to home when you want a little bit of exercise.
